Hi. I live an hour out of town and don't get an opportunity to visit the store often. Up until recently I have been able to persuade a local convenience store to order me a couple of tins of Gawith's 1792 Flake from time to time. Now they are saying the product has been discontinued
Would you please update me on the availability of this great tobacco?
Thanks,
Ed |

Hello EdwardH,
Sad but true. Recently the importer of Samuel Gawith tobaccos announced that they were discontinuing the line. Gawith tobaccos of course still exists, but not available in Canada. We're hoping someone else picks up the brand. We managed to get a few tins of 1792 in the store before stock was depleted. The news was sudden. It happens. Look what happened with Dunhill tobaccos, and so many others. Our favourite pipe tobaccos are in no way immune from the realities of the global economy.
